half assed

James and I are signed up to racewalk the 2nd Half Marathon portion of the San Francisco Marathon tomorrow. As I believe I mentioned earlier in these pages, I chose to do the second half mainly because it starts a couple of hours later and the starting line is a lot closer to my house. In other words, I am willing to do a half marathon but I am too lazy to get up early or travel more than a mile or two to get to it. There is something wrong with this picture but I can't be bothered to invest any further thought in it.

Last night I was having such a good time reading through documents at work that I made James take the bus downtown to meet me for dinner. We ended up going to Millennium and eating at the bar. James's dessert was spiced chocolate zucchini cake with corn ice cream. I can't say I approve of corn ice cream, but he seemed to enjoy it.
